Turnip Van Dyke (they/she) is an aspiring therapist and MSW student at UT San Antonio. 

As a nonbinary person with ADHD, they draw on a deep well of personal and community stories to support people through trauma-informed care. She is honored to work with you on important matters of life including 

- grief, 

- anxiety, 

- depression, 

- transition, 

- chronic illness, 

- family estrangement, 

- trauma in relationships,

- and substance use recovery. 

Turnip uses therapeutic approaches including 

- cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),

- dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), 

- motivational interviewing,

- internal family systems (IFS), 

- and somatic experiencing. 

They hold an M.Ed. in Higher Education from Merrimack College and an M.A. in Rhetoric and Writing Studies from UT El Paso. She has a decade of experience as an educator and is ready to help you realize your college dreams and navigate its realities, no matter your age or background.  

In their free time Turnip paints and designs board games.
